Hello beautiful people, nice to meet you!

My name is Julia, and I am voicing Nancy Jane Harlan from the New York Graphic! The New York Graphic's only girl reporter! Together with her colleague Jack Youngwood, they report about all the news, tragedy and gossip around our Radium Girls. And let me tell you, Nancy is especially interested in the Gossip. I am looking forward to lending this quirky and talkative character my voice this season.

When I am not voicing for this lovely audio production, nor watching musical recordings and missing the good old theater times, I currently keep myself busy by writing my bachelor thesis.

Anyhow, enough from me. Stay tuned for a great audiobook!

Hi guys 🙋‍♀️, my name is Josi and I am voicing Grace Fryer. She is one of the factory girls working in the Radium Plant.

What I like about her character is that she experiences a huge change in her personality throughout the play and grows from a shy girl to a woman, who stands up for her own rights as well as her coworkers.

I joined the EDG in 2018 and performed in “The Crucible” in 2019. Then in 2020 we wanted to perform “Les Miserables” and I was super excited, but oh well, you all know what happened ... But now I am super happy that we found an alternative way of performing.

Acting has always been an important part of my life. During elementary school I enjoyed being part of fairy tale school plays. Later in high school we performed self-written plays.

My main occupation is being a speech and language therapist, but as a side job I am working as an extra for movies, commercials and tv shows. During the lockdown I started to learn German Sign language online, which is a lot of fun. 👌🏼

What I am trying to remember during these times:
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

Greetings, fellow human beings!☺️

Allow me a convoluted and unnecessary introduction:

Who I am is Jonathan. Ubernerd, Principle Cynic, Hobby Ironic, Sarcasm Scholar, Utter Brit Brain, Wandmaker, Hufflepuff Boy and barking barmy is what I am.

In our coming audio play in 2021, you might hear my voice at several points, though always differently (among others as Dr.Flinn, a devious, greedy physician in the scandal about the Radium Girls).

A member of the EDG since 2019, I'm trying to find a way to get into a Lehramtsstudium for the subjects of English and LER.

Acting has been one of my passions for years and I have been living it in a youth project at the FEZ Berlin so far. This audio play is my voice acting debut.

During Lockdown, I spend a lot of my time walking my dog (not the one in the picture), working at my old school, reading books, muttering to myself and making wands (Everyone, needs a hobby, eh?😂)

Hi, I’m Lisa 🙋🏼‍♀️

and I am lucky enough to be voicing 3 characters: Mrs. Michaels, a woman who takes radium water as medicine for rheumatism - An elderly widow who writes a letter to the girls - The Court who passes the final judgement.

I am really excited to be voicing three completely different characters since I love variety and a little challenge.

What makes acting special to me is seeing the world through the characters’ eyes. I feel like I have learned a lot from the roles I’ve played by taking their perspective.

I joined the EDG in 2015 during my first semester but I took a break for my Erasmus in Dublin. I’m now completing my Master’s degree in Cultural Studies & Semiotics at the Uni Potsdam and I work as a Tutor for English and German.

In lockdown I’m trying to keep myself busy with playing music and running. I’ve also solved quite a few “Exit” games.

My lockdown tip is: keep your friends & family close (even if not physically).

I am Amit and I am going to play Jack Youngwood, the newspaper reporter for the Newark Ledger.

What I enjoyed most about the character is the flamboyance and comedic undertone of the character that provides a light heartedness to the tense proceedings in the story. In real life, I did some level of journalist reporting for my department magazine at the University as well as for a local radio station in the Netherlands and I am certain those experiences will come in handy for the character.

I joined the EDG in autumn 2019, during my first year of PhD in Structural Virology. Theatre plays and acting have been my fascination childhood days and my last theatre endeavor in the Netherlands afforded me a chance to perform in Venice as well. Acting is a one stop destination for me to explore different identities, cultures, traditions and diversities of human life.

You can mostly find me in the molecular biology experiment room or in the microscopy dark room depending on what's on the schedule. Otherwise during these lockdown times, I've been catching up on TV series, movies, loads of non fictional reading and occasional cycling.

My lock down tip: take it one day at a time, otherwise it's just going to be overwhelming.

Hello everyone,

I am Lilith and I am going to slip into the skin of Madame Curie.

What I like most about the character is her curiosity and passion about science. I am fascinated by her self-conscious behavior in a man-dominated field of studies and her ambition. Currently, I am researching a lot of background material about her, her life and the surroundings in which she lived in. Above all, I am trying to perfect my French-English accent.

I joined the EDG in autumn 2018 and I have acted ever since I was born. I love to see the world from different perspectives and identify myself with people from every social status, gender, geographic area….

Currently I am in home study and together with my flatmates, I have turned our kitchen into a multifunctional room, serving as library, dancing area, music launch and gym.

My lock down tip: stay creative and invent a highlight for every day!

Hi ☺
My name is Sophie and in our audioplay this year I’m voicing the role of Irene, one of the factory girls. What I like most about the character is her young spirit, her innocent nature and that she is a bit of a gossip.

I joined the EDG during my first semester at the University of Potsdam in 2015, where, by now, I’m studying for a master’s degree in Comparative Literature and Art.

What I like most about acting is that I can try out different kinds of characters and so far throughout months of rehearsals I got to love each and every one of the characters I played.

My favorite thing to do during lockdown is working on myself by working out, taking walks, reading more, being creative and taking time to relax. Furthermore, I’m looking forward to the spring and summer months when I can spend my afternoons on my balcony with a good book enjoying the sun.
